The group accommodation is situated in the village Rijpwetering in the municipality of Kaag and Braassem. Rijpwetering used to be a stock breeding village. Rijpwetering has a couple of monuments such as the windmills, amongst others: Adermolen, Blauwe molen, Buurtermolen, ... and of course the statue of Joop Zoetemelk (famous Dutch racing cyclist.
A couple of places of interest
Rijpwetering is situated next to Leiden. This city is definitely worth a visit. Leiden offers amongst others the monuments De Burch, the Sint-Peters church, the Hooglandse church and the city hall which became famous in 1929 when it burned down.
In spring you can enjoy the bulb-growing area which is blooming. Wonderful bulb field in all kinds of wonderful colours. This bulb-growing area is situated at 20 minutes of Rijpwetering.
Children will definitely amuse themselves here: Panbos with deer park, attraction park Duinrell in Wassenaar, Space Expo in Noordwijk, railway museum in Valkenburg, Linneauhof in Heemstede, Corpus in Oegstgeest, ... Children will definitely amuse themselves here!

Pets are not allowed. You must rent bed linen ( €5,00 p.p.). At arrival, your beds have been made. Price inclusive of: towels, tourist tax, internet, child’s bed, highchair and kitchen linen. All windows have been fitted with insect screens.
Local nickname for Leiden is Key City. Leiden has the oldest university of the Netherlands. The city is known for its rich history and the old town centre with canals, historic buildings and almshouses. Leiden has more than 2800 historic buildings and places of interest which can be reached either on foot, by bike or by boat, like: the Castle, the town hall, the St. Peters Church, the theatre and the Gravensteen.
The ‘Keukenhof’ is a large park (32 ha) with a lot of footpaths (15km)., fun for both young and old. The park is filled with blooming tulips, hyacinths, narcissus and other bulbous plants. A perfect place to relax and get inspired.
In Archeon in Alphen a/d Rijn you will experience three periods from the Dutch history: Prehistory, Roman empire and Middle Ages. All buildings (43, amongst others gates, bridges, huts, temples, monasteries, farmhouses etc.) in Archeon are reconstructions of buildings which have truly existed in the Netherlands. It concerns full-sized buildings.
The famous Madurodam is a Dutch miniature city in The Hague, scale: 1:25. In this miniature city you can form a picture of Dutch society by means of replicas of Dutch buildings.
