On the edge of a naturepark called ‘Nationaalpark Lauwersmeer’ you can find this unique accommodation for max. eight persons. This holiday farm (former dike foreman house) is a guarantee for peace and space. Children can play freely in the spacious 5000m2 garden with a swingset. This accommodation is renovated but still has an authentic look. Even your horse is welcome here.
This accommodation covers a number of buildings. First, of course, the house itself, which still breathes the atmosphere of former times. You enter the cozy living room at the ground floor through the entrance hall. The living room has a television and a comfortable sofa. It also has a fireplace. The open kitchen is fully equipped including a microwave, stove, cooker, fridge and dishwasher. The accommodation has a total of five bedrooms, a bathroom with bath and shower and a toilet. There also is a laundry room where you will find a second toilet and a sink. And there is a storage room and a separate room for the fridge and washing machine.
On the ground floor is bedroom 1: one double and one queen size waterbed (approx. 1.20m wide) both with a double duvet. And bedroom 2: One Double bed (1.40 wide and a double duvet) and 1x single bed. On the first floor is bedroom 3: Three single beds. Bedroom 4: two single beds, one double bed which consists of two single mattresses and fitted with single duvets. Bedroom 5: One Double bed (1.80m wide and a double duvet) and two cots. There are also three mobile single beds available in this accommodation.
Then there is the last accommodation called "Kalverhuisje". This beautiful, small stable, built with old bricks now offers an extra shower, bath with shower, three sinks and two toilets. Outside there also is a sink with two washing facilities.
Finally, in the back of the garden you’ll find a horse arena and two spacious stables. The garden itself has a pont and a place for campfire and barbeque.
Kollumerpomp and the region “Lauwersland” combine culture, nature, history and recreation in a versatile way. Wild Konik horses and Highland Cattle graze all year around here and you can walk inbetween them. It is even possible to do a number of workshops such as photography, beauty, African percussion, wildlife walks, cooking, etc.
