This beautiful 12 person holiday home is located on the edge of the village of Schoonloo in the National Beek- en Esdorpen Landschap Drentse Aa. It is a beautiful nature reserve with extensive forests, heathlands and tourist villages with many cycling and walking routes. From the holiday home and your garden you have a view of a beautiful forest where regularly in the evening twilight roe walking. From the house you walk into the forest where you can also find a nice recreational lake with beach. For the children there are swings, a diving rack, table tennis, volley and football field, go-karts, various scooters and more. There is also an animal meadow on the site where the goats, shetlanders, chickens and rabbits live. There is also a cozy covered campfire place (with sufficient wood) that can be used.
The cozy living room has several sofas, a large dining table with 12 chairs, LCD TV with DVD and a Radio / CD player and free wireless internet. In the adjacent kitchen is a dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker, oven, microwave and a five burner gas stove. There are two double bedrooms and two four-person bedrooms with single boxspring beds of 80cm x 200cm. All beds have pillows and duvets and are made up on arrival. There are two bathrooms with separate toilet, sink and shower.
Through the kitchen door you enter the spacious terrace with three picnic tables with umbrellas. There are four swings, a table tennis table, a diving rack and a volley and soccer field. There is a spacious parking space on the property.
The environment is characterized by a beautiful wooded area interspersed with heathlands and fens. There are many cycling and walking routes through this beautiful Drentsche landscape with the vast forests and tourist villages.
In the vicinity you will find beautiful villages such as Grolloo, Westerbork, Borger and Schoonoord with regular markets and fairs, restaurants and cafés.
Larger cities in the area are Assen (17 km), Emmen (22 km) and Groningen (50 km).
In addition to cycling and walking, you can swim in the Ieberenplas (about 300 meters from your holiday home) or in the Loomeer a little further. In bad weather you can swim in the subtropical swimming paradise De Bonte Wever in Assen.
In Westerbork you can visit the memorial center of former camp Westerbork. Here is also the radio node with a walking route where children playfully learn everything about the Milky Way and the dishes of radio telescopes.
A historical experience is the museum village of Orvelte where you can experience the old history. Regularly there are special events and theme days, folkloristic groups, special markets and theater performances. Also worth a visit is open-air museum Ellert and Brammert in Schoonoord.
If you want to look at the forest from a different perspective, take a walk on the Boomkroonpad. This walking path leads you high along the tops of the trees.
Drenthe is known for its dolmens. There are more than 40. In Borger you will find the Hunebed Center. There is also the largest dolmen.
