The summer house is situated in the cosy seaside resort Katwijk aan Zee. Katwijk aan Zee is situated in the Randstad (Western Holland) and used to be a fishing village. The main shopping street with over 150 shops is situated on the dike, by the sea!
A couple of places of interest
In spring you will definitely admire the beautiful, colourful, nice smelling bulb fields! These wonderful flowers are used for the flower parade which is organized every year. All floats ride from Noordwijk to Haarlem. This flower parade attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year!
Do you love cycling? Katwijk offers wonderful cycling routes through the dunes, along bulb fields or along places of interest. Map out your cycling route and enjoy the wonderful Katwijk!
Big cities like Leiden, Delft, Den Haag, Amsterdam, ... are situated in the direct surroundings of Katwijk. You will definitely amuse your stay in this summer house.
This cosy summer house has a living room with satellite TV with Dutch and German channels, a gas heater, a highchair (€5,00) and free internet. Kitchen complete with amongst others Senseo coffee-maker, stove (4 rings) and cooker, electric kettle, refrigerator....
On the 1st floor you will find a small bedroom with double bed. It is possible to rent a child’s bed (€10,00). On the ground floor you will find a toilet, washbasin and shower.
There is no garden or terrace. By way of compensation we offer 1 day free bike rental.
On holiday with your partner, child, father, mother, friend? Record this wonderful moment! The owner’s daughter is a professional photographer and offers guests a wonderful photo-shoot (45 minutes) at only €50,00!
Pets are not allowed. You must rent bed- and bath linen. Unfortunately, no free parking in front of the door. Free parking places at 15 minutes of the summer house.
Local nickname for Leiden is Key City. Leiden has the oldest university of the Netherlands. The city is known for its rich history and the old town centre with canals, historic buildings and almshouses. Leiden has more than 2800 historic buildings and places of interest which can be reached either on foot, by bike or by boat, like: the Castle, the town hall, the St. Peters Church, the theatre and the Gravensteen.
The ‘Keukenhof’ is a large park (32 ha) with a lot of footpaths (15km)., fun for both young and old. The park is filled with blooming tulips, hyacinths, narcissus and other bulbous plants. A perfect place to relax and get inspired.
In Archeon in Alphen a/d Rijn you will experience three periods from the Dutch history: Prehistory, Roman empire and Middle Ages. All buildings (43, amongst others gates, bridges, huts, temples, monasteries, farmhouses etc.) in Archeon are reconstructions of buildings which have truly existed in the Netherlands. It concerns full-sized buildings.
The famous Madurodam is a Dutch miniature city in The Hague, scale: 1:25. In this miniature city you can form a picture of Dutch society by means of replicas of Dutch buildings.
