This lovely four-person holiday home is located on the water in the middle of a beautiful rural area within walking distance of National Park Weerribben-Wieden. The holiday home is a stone's throw from Giethoorn, the Venice of the north. Three kilometers away is the picturesque old port town of Blokzijl with several restaurants. Nearby is the Drentse Havelte, where dolmens, a sheepfold, a butterfly garden, a mini golf and also nice restaurants.
The House has a spacious living room with dining area, sitting area, TV, a radio and central heating. The open kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave and fridge-freezer. There are 2 spacious bedrooms with a double bed and two single beds. The luxury bathroom has a shower and sink. The House is on one level and has free Wi-Fi internet access. Smoking and pets are not allowed in the home. Outside there is a sunny terrace of approx. 50m2
The House is near the water in a rural setting. 1km away lies the village of scheerwolde and approximately 7km away is the giethoorn. Near National Park ' De weerribben ' is also and this makes together with the nature reserve De Wieden (where giethoorn is located) and the Rottige Meenthe, part of one of the largest and most beautiful wetland nature reserves in Western Europe. An ideal place for rest seekers, nature lovers, cyclists, hikers, fishermen and boaters. You will definitely come into contact with the many, often rare animals of this area. With good luck you might see an otter, but the odds of you see a purple heron, the Bittern, a Kingfisher, a hawk or a deer is bigger. Especially early in the morning if you are in one of the Birdwatch entrenched you will be amazed by what to see.
But the Kop van Overijssel offers even more variations in the landscape and all of that just around the corner. So there is the beautiful rolling landscape around Paasloo, the woods of the estate De Eese and The Wold mountain and moorland near Havelte. Besides peace and nature it is here also cozy. By Dyk sail much pleasure craft on their way to or from the Frisian Lakes. The former Zuiderzee towns blokzijl, Kuinre and Vollenhove have a beautiful medieval core and a lively port. Steenwijk with its beautiful Centre is also a fun place to go shopping. Meppel has great fame for its "Thursday Meppeldag". And giethoorn, also called the "Venice of the North", you may actually also not to be missed. In the summer season there are numerous village festivals in the area with markets, street fairs and other festivities.
