This spacious, cosy apartment for 2 persons is situated on the first floor in the centre of Veere. It is situated in a listed building from approx. 1500 which originally served as mercantile house for wine trade from Bordeaux. The apartment has a striking location, next to the Scottish Houses and offers a magnificent view of the harbour and the Veerse Meer. Recreation area Het Veerse Meer is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts and guarantees a lot of water fun. You can make wonderful, long cycling tours and walks. There are many marked routes which lead you along the highlights and allow you to discover this historical city and its surrounding area.
The spacious living room (6 x 7 meter) with beam ceiling and fireplace has a monumental appearance and a cosy interior. You will feel at home immediately. Besides a spacious couch you will find a TV, fireplace, central heating, DVD-player, radio, games and books.
Open kitchen complete with dishwasher, coffee-maker, toaster, fridge/freezer, Senseo coffee-maker, cooker, grill, stove (4 rings), electric kettle, washing machine and drier. The apartment has one bedroom with double bed and a bathroom with shower/bath combination, washbasin and toilet.
You share the large courtyard with the owners.
In her heydays Veere used to be a powerful commercial town which traded with Scotland. Nowadays, this city at the Veerse Lake is still characterized by its beautiful marina. Many buildings still remind you of her heydays. Veere doesn’t only offer old streets with warehouses, but many authentic shops, boutiques and souvenir shops as well. Highlights: the Campveerse tower, Scottish houses and the impressive church!
Flood museum Ouwerkerk
You should definitely visit the Flood Museum in Ouwerkerk. It gives you an impression of the flood disaster of 1953, which marked the history of Zeeland and the Netherlands. As a result of this disaster, the Deltaplan was developed. The southern part of the island Tholen suffered the most during the disaster, most people died in Stavenisse.
Nickname of Goes: The shoppingcenter of Zeeland. Goes offers a wide variety of shops which are situated around the historic town center. Besides, Goes offers several galleries. Museum de Bevelanden is definitely worth a visit. At night you can visit one of the discotheques or bars and enjoy live music.
