Holiday homes on the Italian coast

Holiday homes on the Italian coast

Italy offers a staggering 7600 km of beautifull coast line from the lush Riviera in the North to the dry but equally beautiful coast in the South of Sicily and. Mountains, sandy beaches, volcanic beaches, mangrove forest, isalands, beautifull bays, even rice paddies. You can find it all on the Italian coast line. HelloLodge offers almost 2000 holiday homes the italian coast or a short distance from it.

After Greece, Italy is the European country with the longest coast line! Every summer, hundreds of thousands of travellers from all over the world come to Italy to enjoy the beautiful beaches dotting the coastline from north to south, from the Tyrrhenian Sea to the Mediterranean and the Adriatic Sea.

If you are looking for ideas for your next holiday, here are the most beautiful beaches in Italy!

1. Berchida (Sardinia)

Berchida beach, which stretches from Capo Comino to Orosei, is characterized by a transparent sea and a succession of coves and white sandy beaches. Its shallow waters are perfect for dipping. Not yet reached by mass tourism, Berchida is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. It can be reached by boat or by taking a long way along the coast from Capo Comino to Posada.

2. Punta Prosciutto, Porto Cesareo (Puglia)

On the coast of Puglia, on the border between the provinces of Taranto and Lecce, stretches like a mirage this white strip of sand, the extent of which makes it a haven of peace with a wild touch. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful beaches in Salento.

3. Capo Vaticano, Vibo Valentia (Calabria)

In Tropea, one of the jewels of Calabria, there are the small but wonderful beaches of Capo Vaticano: a sea so transparent that it seems unreal, where you can dive and enjoy the Mediterranean spectacle. We particularly recommend the Grotticelle cove, although it can be very busy in high season.

4. Rabbits Beach (Lampedusa)

It is a beautiful beach near the island of the same name, in a natural park created to protect the Caretta turtles that come here every year to lay their eggs. In the shape of a semi-circle, surrounded by cliffs of white limestone, it has a very intense blue water that sparkles in the sunlight.

5. Cala Violina (Tuscany)

If you are looking for a beautiful beach not too crowded where you can relax surrounded by lush vegetation, Cala Violina in the rustic Maremma is the one for you. Ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature.

6. Lido di Classe (Emilia-Romagna)

This stretch of coastline 5km south of Ravenna is accessible through a protected wetland area, part of the Po Delta Natural Park. Perfect for a bike ride, this beach has been awarded the Blue Flag Medal for the cleanliness and quality of its coastal waters.

7. Chiaia di Luna (Lazio)

The beach of Chiaia di Luna on the island of Ponza is unfortunately difficult to reach due to the danger of the cliff collapsing. It can be seen by boat, even if the city is working on a partial reopening. Whoever succeeds, is rewarded with a magnificent sandy bay surrounded by high cliffs overlooking the sea.

8. Cala Rossa (Sicily)

Considered as the most beautiful beach on the island of Favignana, Cala Rossa is characterized by flat rocks (ideal for sunbathing) that plunge like a natural amphitheatre into an exceptionally transparent sea. Being accessible only by a long descent, it is not recommended for families with children.

9. Torre dell’Orso (Marches)

You can take a boat from the port of Ancona, in the beautiful Riviera del Conero, or take a long way in the mountains to reach the beautiful beach of Les Deux Soeurs, a corner of paradise still far from mass tourism. The beach gets its name from two large white rocks that emerge in front of it.

10. Cala Bianca (Campania)

A very “Zen” place where the peace and beauty of nature quickly make you forget the stress of the city. Small and intimate, Cala Bianca offers visitors white sand, crystal clear water and fairytale vegetation. Once in the area, the Cilento National Park is well worth a visit.
